We have invested in and reconfigured our adoption services with an exciting and challenging agenda to deliver. The Service is configured in a Functional Model, consisting of three distinct operational functions; Recruitment and Assessment, Twin Tracking & Family Finding and Adoption Support. Whilst individuals may be recruited primarily to specific functions there will be occasions due to service need where individuals will be required to flex to other functions within the service, providing valuable opportunities to broaden and develop an individual’s skills in adoption. Since the creation of the Service in April 2015, the region has been continuously improving, moving in the right direction and we have achieved an increase in the number of adoptive placements and reduced the time we take to place children. You will join a group of committed and enthusiastic professionals who are working hard to transform our services.

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join this hardworking and supportive service as a Team Manager covering the Adoption Support or Twin Tracking/Family Finding functions. The post holder will need to have at least five years post-qualifying experience with significant experience of working in children and young people’s services, experience/ knowledge and understanding of adoption work and processes; experience of management/ supervision of staff; an ability to provide guidance, support and leadership and a keen desire and interest in driving forward the national adoption agenda in relation to performance and developments.
